Street artist based in Paris, street pasteups. Urban poetry
Born in the late 80s in a family on the move, Marquise grew up in West Africa and Europe, before settling permanently in France around the age of 15.
Nourished by her childhood abroad, she is a great dreamer and a true enthusiast of images, whose power, depth and aesthetics inspires her to make her first collages at young age from the magazines she found at home.
She discovers street art with her artists and eclectic mediums while she is strolling in Paris. If she begins by immortalizing with her lens the works designed by others, little by little the desire to share her own work with others encourages her to start her first street collages, in 2018.
Working with a mixed technique of photography and collage, Marquise develops a poetic, dreamlike and quirky universe in which everyone is invited to dream, to immerse themselves and so on. She advocates values such as diversity, equality, respect, living together, tolerance and feminism to name a few. It is with humor and poetry that she brings us today to question our relationship to the other and to the world in which we all live.
