Originally from Bordeaux, Polar Bear is the name of a French street artist who currently lives and works in Paris.
PolarBear seeks to make multilayer stencils that convey messages which are full of meaning and poetic. It has been 10 years since he created the first artwork.
He likes to put his works on the walls of big cities as supports for his unique stencils, which are unlimited and unique canvas opening a possibility of creation and freedom.
Paris of course is his favorite city, but he is also lucky to be able to travel to other places for his art, such as London, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Budapest, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Berlin, Belgrade…
Among the subject he uses are women, children, men in black and white and shades of gray, with the exception of a single colorful element that draws attention.
From a very young age, through his father’s ecological commitment, he has been concerned with the protection of nature and the defense of animals.
An important part of his work therefore focuses on these subjects. Whether evidently with pieces like “No Nature – No Future” or through the series representing endangered species accompanied by the slogan DON’T MAKE US HISTORY, or more subtly via the title, like “Don’t touch the plants – Matilda ”
In order to reach as many people as possible around the world, the vast majority of the titles are in English.
He sees streetart as a game changer where nothing is impossible.
