Presentation
Pierre Ziegler is a contemporary French painter who lives and works in Paris. Self-taught, assistant to artist Philippe Pasqua in the 2000s. His work is strongly influenced by primitive art and graffiti. In his compositions are mixed with words and images drawn from the bestiary of divinities, alchemy, primitive arts, sciences and occultism. The abundant graphic elements respond to each other. They overlap, jostle or hide in glaze of colors. The palette is lively, bright, contrasting and energetic. His intuitive approach is very close to art brut.
