Artificial Intelligence for the creation of “Straight Art” artworks

As you might already know, Monart is developping Art innovations and experiments. Visit the 3D Art Gallery where you can virtually discover our artists and their artworks.

Now, exclusively on monart, you can create your own “Straight Line Art” portrait artwork from your own face pictures using Artificial Intelligence !

Frédéric Durieu is used to creating his own toys. Thanks to his polytechnic studies, he has been using his knowledge in computer engineering to create art for nearly 30 years.

Like a poet, Frédéric Durieu writes structured texts that generate emotions. Its texts are a set of artificial intelligence algorithms. When it is read by the machine, the software generates images that create emotions for the viewer. This is called “algorithmic poetry”.

We can already compare these single texts to a work of art! This was made by Frédéric Durieu & Nathalie Erin.

They imagined this concept by asking themselves how to arrive at the quintessence of an image from an ultra-simple element. They call this series the “Straight Line Art”! The writing of the “Infinitive” software started in September 2016. It has a little more than 30,000 pieces of code, which is constantly evolving according to creative ideas.

This creative software can receive as input images, video or sound streams from a microphone. It can generate real time animations in full HD and still images in ultra-high definition, up to 32000 x 32000 pixels, for monumental prints of up to 8 m x 8 m or more.

These creations are available for all lovers of innovative, spectacular and impressive artistic creations exclusively on Monart.
